So, I dropped the ball on posting every month as planned! So call this months 9, 10 and 11. Pretty soon it will be the big 1!!
Our biggest adventure these days is EATING!!! I guess she must take after her mama! Annika has become quite the adventurous eater! The other day I decided that while I gave Annika lunch, I would also dish myself up a bowl of quinoa salad I had made earlier. It was quinoa, spices, lemon juice and olive oil. I thought there was NO WAY she would like it, but I let her try it and I think she at most of MY lunch (after eating almost none of hers)! The thing I have discovered is that she will eat almost anything new to her, but snubs her nose at a lot of staple items - like vegetables for instance. She even at a lemon slice! Now she is on a food strike and will eat only oyster crackers and kraft deli slices. I will cut her some slack though - because she is sick and probably not too adventurous because of it. And we are in the middle of a move, which is stressing her (and me) out!Hopefully she is back to her old self in no time, especially since tonight I cooked her whipped cauliflower, broccoli and cauliflower with cheese sauce, plums and risotto primavera! I spent a lot of time on these meals so she better eat them! I better get used to saying that statement, because I have a feeling it will be that was for at least 18 more years!
