The life of my dreams?

Annika's Birthday Party

These next 3 pictures are from Virginia Beach May 13

So here I am living the life I've always dreamed of, almost. The other day I was thinking "if this is the life I've always dreamed of (being a stay at home mom and wife) then why am I so lonely"? Well, it makes complete sense when you think about it. I wasn't lonely until we moved from VA. And now my life is very lonely...I don't have internet, or a home phone (and very limited cell phone minutes), I still don't have a church here, don't know a single person, and spend my days taking care of, playing with and talking to someone who can't walk, can't do things on her own much and doesn't talk back (quite). I have a quiet husband who would just as soon sit in total silence or watch TV as have a conversations with me (or anyone) after a day of talking to people at work all day.
So I just need to remind myself that this isn't forever. I will (eventually) make friends, get a church, get the internet and a phone. And who knows, Annika might start talking one of these days. She does say a handful of words - not consistently; maybe 20 or so that she has said. Some are mama, daddy, hi, bye bye, duckie, no, cheese, fly, cracker, fish and several others she has maybe said once.
Annika is still not walking, because she has figured out that she can crawl REALLY fast. She is a quite happy baby with lots of energy and a curiosity for everything. She loves people and going places...gets bored staying home with Mama all the time. She is somewhat adventurous with eating, but is becoming more discerning (a nice way to say picky) about what she eats. She loves other kids which has almost convinced us to have another one soon!
Her birthday party was May 9 and I will post pictures soon, after we get back from visiting MN and taking lots more pictures!
