Here Annika is! 8 months old, over 16 pounds and 25 inches! She gained around 2 pounds two months in a row - December and January!
She had a lot of fun at Christmas - mostly with bows rather than presents!This month, We made great strides in a ton of areas! Annika:
- Was moved to her crib in her own room (and is sleeping through the night most nights!). I struggled with this one - was not emotionally ready to move her out of our room. It dawned on me you spend the first 6 months as a mom bonding and the next 17 years nurturing independence - moving them into their own room/crib is the first step! We still snuggle in the mornings though!
- Started eating solids (and like almost everything, mashed, not pureed!)
- Moved to the big tub for baths!
- Said "da-da" and "hi"!
- Babbles and giggles incessantly!
Started sitting very well for long periods of time!
I am amazed at how many changes can take place in one short month! I am sure enjoying my little angel every day. I still can't get enough of her!!
It was so great to see you guys this weekend. I love sharing this time in your life...you are a wonderful mom. I don't know anyone else as devoted to nurturing their child as you are. Annika is THE smartest, cutest, sweetest, biggest personality baby ever (except my nephew Brian)!!!!! I really mean that and normally I like babies but not the way I like Annika. She is really special!!!!!!!
