Why I blog:

Photo: So true!
This week I received unwanted feedback about my very personal Birth Plan that I decided to post. I thought about removing my birth plan from my blog, to avoid judgment. Then I asked myself “why do I blog all these personal things”. Well, there are some very good reasons:
· For myself. Putting things on paper helps to process and is a fun way to keep a record or my experience.
· I want those who have a desire about my journey to have the access to updates without them having to call me and ask me questions. It’s a way to share news, among other things.
· I think that possibly someone might learn something they never knew, or might think about things in a way they never thought about them.
· I wish to share what has worked for me, and resources I have come across in order to make it easier for others in the future. It is always nice to find out about things without a lot of effort.

These are NOT reasons I bog:
· I do not blog to make others think “my way” is best, or that I think everyone should do what I do. Each woman will approach pregnancy completely differently. And that is each woman’s decision. Each woman, in all areas, should only do what they are convicted to do and what they feel best for them. No doubt that not a single woman will choose exactly as I do. It’s a personal thing and that is beautiful.
· I don’t blog to be criticized or told how I am “off”. If anyone has any constructive or positive comments or ideas to share, I would love to hear them. But mere opinions are unhelpful.

I truly hope that those who read my blog get something out of it. However, I am not doing it for others. I am doing it for me. I enjoy putting on paper what I learn and what I experience. Happy reading!
