Annika is so cute.
Tuesday she came up to my belly and I asked her if she wanted to kiss my
belly. She said yeah and did. I asked her if she wanted to say anything to
the baby. She said “I love you baby…I’m
your sister…I want to sing a song to the baby in your belly”. Then she sang the entire song Moon Moon Moon
(Laurie Berkner).
Each day, there are several things I make sure to fit into my
routine:
-
Devotions
(sometimes I don’t get to this right away, and I may miss a day now and then,
but it’s definitely at the top of my list).
-
Exercise
(5 days a week – I may skip a day now and then, but always make sure to do
SOMETHING).
-
Drink
enough water
-
Stick
to my pregnancy diet (which includes a yogurt smoothie that I am beginning to
loathe)!
My Smoothie Recipe:
· A cup of greek yogurt (nonfat or 2% -
Fage or Chiobani are my favorites b/c they have 22 g protein)
· 1 C fresh or frozen fruit
· ¼ C wheat germ (3 g protein)
· 2 Tbsp Hemp Seeds (5 g protein and
all essential amino acids)
· A splash 100% juice (optional) for
smoothness and to desired consistency
· A few ice cubes (if I am not using
frozen fruit)
I am already having Braxton Hicks contractions!
Annika has started saying “when the baby comes…” then she
adds one of the following (or others: I will walk by myself (instead of always
asking to be carried), I will wipe my butt, I will not wear diapers (at night),
and I will carry my own stuff (to the car, instead of always asking me)”. It’s so funny. It’s like she thinks she will miraculously
change as soon as the baby comes.
